You are buying the original signed painting, not a print, and there is one. Photo 2 is a close detail of her head and headdress. Photo 3 shows the canvas leaning against a wall on its stretcher frame, but the artist ships it rolled in a tube and unframed, so message the seller before ordering if you need it to arrive ready to hang. Colours can look slightly different on screen.
This is not a portrait of one woman or one people. The artist paints an idealised African woman, adorned and composed, as a celebration of self acceptance, cultural roots and the quiet power of feminine identity, in a single warm tone that keeps the picture calm and intimate.

An original sepia painting of an African woman in profile, eyes closed. She stands with her head lifted and one arm swept back, a tall striped headdress rising behind her, a ring at her throat and a zigzag belt hung with oval pendants over a dark wrapper. The figure is drawn in a few confident dark lines over washes, drips and spatters of ochre, amber and rust. The artist lists the medium as aciduro, a local watercolour pigment, which gives the piece its single warm tone, closer to an ink drawing than to the bright acrylics elsewhere in the shop. The artist calls it The Essence of Her: a tribute to the beauty, dignity and quiet strength of the African woman, poised and adorned, rooted in her heritage and sure of herself. Half figure, half abstraction, it leaves the washes to do as much of the talking as the lines. At 7 by 10 inches it suits a desk, a shelf or a gallery wall of small pieces. It is one of a kind, not a print, signed Lexis in the lower right corner. Painted by hand in Ghana. Keep it out of direct sunlight and away from damp.
