Echoes of the Drums, Blue Painting

An original acrylic painting of four drummers in blue. Four figures in flowing blue and turquoise robes and tall peaked headdresses move across the canvas, each carrying a round drum, against a background of turquoise sky and ochre light. Lexis paints them in loose, fast strokes that leave the figures half dissolved into the colour, so the picture reads as rhythm and movement rather than portrait. The artist's own title for it is Drummers and Dancers. It is a medium sized landscape canvas, 20 x 13 inches (about 51 x 33cm), signed LEXIS in the lower right corner. If you want something warmer for the same wall, the Echoes of Community paintings by the same artist are the same size in brown and red. Acrylic on canvas. It ships rolled in a tube, unstretched and unframed, so it can be stretched or framed to your taste. Keep it out of direct sunlight and dust it gently with a soft dry brush.
