A red dashiki top with a printed front panel, sold with an aso oke fila cap. The top is cut loose with short sleeves and a notched split neckline. Across the front, a panel of gold, black and rust leaf print is framed by bands of white trim against the plain red body. The maker says the design came from wanting to take African fabrics beyond the conventional and turn them into something expressive and unexpected. The fila is the Yoruba cap, folded from handwoven aso oke in maroon, black and gold stripes and lined in purple. Its deep red stripes pick up the red of the top, so the two read as one outfit.
