A traditional Maasai shuka in red and black check, 200 by 150 cm. The shuka is the hardwearing woven cloth worn across Maasai country in Kenya and Tanzania, and this is the classic colourway, bold red squares on black. Use it as a wrap or shawl, a throw over a sofa or bed, a picnic and beach blanket, or a backdrop and prop for photography; it packs small and shakes clean, which is why it has been the travelling cloth of East Africa for generations.
