Pearl Twist Necklace, Pink and White, Handmade Kenya

A handmade rope necklace of white pearl beads wrapped in bright pink seed beads that spiral all the way round it, finished with a silver tone clasp. The most playful of the maker's pearl twists, made for summer, a pink outfit or a bridesmaid in pink. Two lines of hot pink beads, with finer pale beads between them, wind around the pearls like the stripes on a sweet, so the white shows through in soft bands and the colour reads from across a room. It sits close at the base of the neck, round and full, and needs nothing else with it. It fastens with a silver tone lobster clasp, with a small bead cap at each end of the rope and a short extender chain finished with a ball, all visible in the first photograph, so it can sit a little higher or lower. If you want something quieter, the same twist is also made in black and white, and in green and white. Care: keep it dry and away from perfume, and store it laid flat or loosely coiled so the spiral keeps its shape.
