You are buying one length of hand dyed adire cloth in the pattern shown, 40 by 10 inches as the seller gives it; message the seller before ordering if you need a longer piece. It is cloth, not a finished garment. Each piece is dyed by hand, so colours and lines can differ slightly from the photograph.
Adire, Yoruba for tie and dye, is the resist dyed cloth of southwest Nigeria, and Abeokuta has been its best known centre for more than a century. The pattern is made by tying, stitching or drawing a resist onto the cloth before it is dyed, so the parts the dye cannot reach carry the design.
Dispatch in 2-4 weeks. Delivery windows vary by destination at checkout.
No returns. If it arrives damaged, wrong or not as described, report it within 48 hours of delivery and Sokofa will put it right.

A length of hand dyed adire cotton cloth, 40 by 10 inches, from Abeokuta. The ground is a deep aubergine, close to black. One part of the cloth is a grid of squares, each holding an orange, red or yellow flower or a starburst, edged with fine white dotted lines. The rest is rows of linked circles over fine white hatching, every circle with a centre of orange, red, yellow or white, so the bright colours sit like beads on the dark cloth. It is sold as cloth, not as a finished garment, and the seller makes it for men and women alike. The size is as the seller gives it, 40 by 10 inches, about 102 by 25cm. Each piece is dyed by hand, so the colours and lines can differ slightly from the photograph.
