Each necklace is strung by hand by women trained in beadwork, bead by bead along a single strand. It is everyday bead jewellery, made to be worn often rather than kept for best, and the light plastic beads mean it sits comfortably all day.

A long handmade necklace of small blue seed beads spaced with oval beads. The strand runs to about 125cm in total, as given by the maker, with larger oval beads in pink, orange, green, red, white and black set along its length. The necklaces are handmade by women who have been trained in beadwork, using plastic beads that are light and colourful. It suits a casual look and is quiet enough for the office too. Store it loosely coiled so the strand does not kink.
