Each bag is threaded by hand, so bead placement and the exact shade vary a little from the photographs. The two photographs show the two colourways, Multi Green and Solid Emerald Green.
Beadwork carries real weight in Nigerian dress, where beads have long marked an occasion and a standing rather than simply decorating an outfit. The cowrie shells worked into the Multi Green colourway sit in that history directly: cowries were currency across West Africa for centuries before they became ornament, and they still read as a sign of wealth. Mlumun works in Lagos in that tradition, putting it on a modern top handle shape rather than on ceremonial dress.

A hand beaded top handle bag in emerald green, built bead by bead over a curved frame and finished with a moulded flower ornament in white and yellow at the handle. It comes in two colourways and they are genuinely different bags. Multi Green is the busier one, faceted green beads scattered with yellow and orange petal beads and real cowrie shells, so it carries a whole outfit on its own. Solid Emerald Green is the quieter one, a single depth of faceted emerald beads with the MLUMUN nameplate on the front, and it is the one to choose if you want the bag to read as jewellery rather than as the statement. Both photographs show the actual bags, one colourway each. Every bead is threaded by hand onto the frame, so the surface is not perfectly uniform and no two bags come out identical. Wipe with a dry cloth. Store it out of direct sun so the beads keep their colour, and lift it by the body rather than by the flower.

Mlumun was born from a passion for creativity, craftsmanship and the desire to create pieces that stand out effortlessly. What started as a simple love for beadwork has evolved into a growing brand dedicated to designing handcrafted beaded bags that blend elegance, culture and individuality. Every Mlumun piece is carefully made by hand, bead by bead, reflecting patience, artistry and attention to detail. The brand represents more than just accessories, it is a celebration of femininity.
